    I hope this makes sense…
I had a terrible time getting my product images to not be blurry w/ woocommerce. Can’t remember exactly what I did to get it right, but my media settings are now
thumbnails 300×300, medium 300×300, large 1024×1024 + I regenerated thumbs. With the swatches, when I click to change/see the colors – the thumbs get blurry again. (shop + archive pages)(but everything is fine on single pgs).

Also, some products (shop/archive) load in focus while others are blurry – but the sharp ones also get blurry when I click a swatch. :/ I can’t figure out how to solve this.
    ANY help/insight much appreciated. THX.

Realized that for the thumbs that are loading blurry – they are loading with some sort of pre-set attributes. why would this be? Random products already have a color and size highlighted. And, the plugin is not pulling the ‘featured’ image from the listing. It does for a second (on load), then switches itself to some random set of attributes (but it’s the same attributes every time I reload). It doesn’t change.

    any ideas? thx

Okay. Realized that the (pre)set attributes were coming from woocommerce listings.
listing > variations > default values. Changed them all to “no default”. Obviously pulling from Printful – although weird it’s only on random products. Fixed all of that, BUT…..

Product thumbnails (shop/archive) still turning blurry when an attribute is picked.
I guess if I don’t get any response here I’ll have to turn off swatches for shop/archive page(s). Boo :/

    Hello @kim333,

    Greetings of the day!

Did you check for the other plugin conflict, like any performance optimization plugin, that might be causing the images to load blurry?

Try to deactivate all the plugins temporarily except Variation swatches and WooCommerce, and see if that solves the problem. Then, activate plugins to see which plugin is causing the problem.

Also try switching to another theme, like Twenty Twenty-One, and check whether the issue persists to see if the issue is with the theme.

Let me know how that goes.

    I hope this helps.

    Yes,
It’s coming from the Astra theme. Switched over to ‘Storefront’ and everything is nice and crisp. Thank you very much for the guidance. I had played with deactivating plugins but was avoiding the theme.

Brilliant plugin – 5 stars. Big help. Thanks again, sincerely.

    Hello @kim333,

    Glad that it helped.

I would suggest you discuss the issue with Astra theme support, and they will surely help you out in this matter.

Thanks for the appreciation and feedback.

    Have a great one ahead!
