• I just upgrade my site and it seems to have broken all my permalinks. I had been using a custom structure.
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%post_id%/%postname%/
I click on one link and it takes me to a completely different post.

I fixed it by changing the permalink structure to one of the default ones. But that did not fix the permalink issues with custom taxonomy. I set up “country” pages and added then to the menu via the new menu system. When I click on “Jordan”, for instance, it redirects to a random post from that taxonomy.

    Any ideas how I can
    A) go back to my old permalink structure
    B) use custom taxonomies?

    Thanks

It seems that I was using a custom taxonomy slug for the taxonomies and that was breaking them.

I would recommend to not offer the option to use custom taxonomies if it will just break them. I really hope that the redirect engine is enough for the search engines not to penalize me for changing my url structure on them.
