Custom Field Data -> Not showing in receipt, dashboard, back-end

    I’ve added a custom text field and a custom select field using https://givewp.com/documentation/developers/how-to-create-custom-form-fields/. It works beautifully, and includes the new information in the admin and donor emails. However, there’s a few places the data is missing.

    1) When the donor is redirected to the confirmation page, the text field data is showing, but not the select field data.

    2) When the donor receives the email with a link to their receipt via the donation dashboard, both the history list and the receipts don’t show the data from the custom select field. The receipt only shows the data from the text field.

    3) When the admin looks at donation history in wp-admin, neither the list nor the individual donation pages show either of the custom field data.

  • Hi Jarrod,

    Happy to help with this. I ran a test with a text field and a select field on my test site, and everything functioned as expected. Those fields were present in the receipts, Donor Dashboard and in the donation history on the backend. Here’s a quick screencast I put together to show you what I see: Form Fields

    I’d like to do a little digging to see if I can get this replicable. Send along your system information. You can do this by navigating to Donations > Tools > System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here. That will give me a clear picture of your website environment and might point out some trouble spots.

    Also, are you seeing any errors? Any error codes you are seeing would be helpful here as well.
