Cannot see new Events after Update

The solution will depend on your specific situation, so you will have to try a few things to restore functionality.

When you say update, was that only the plugin update or the update + the migration of events to the new system?

If it’s simply an update, you will want to downgrade to a previous version.

If it’s an update + the migration of events, then I would first reverse the migration.

If that doesn’t fix it, try downgrading to a previous version.

Once that is done:

1. Disable automatic updates
2. Test the update on a 6.0 staging site
3. Test the migration on a staging site

I’ve migrate to an older Version of the Plugin and it works, thanks a lot.

After that to see if it’s an update or migration Problem, i install the Version 6.0.1.1 again. Same Problem like befor so it seems that there is a bug in this version.

Yes, it’s the free “Nirvana” Theme from “Cryout Creations Version 1.6.2

Same problem for me with the “bikersclub” theme by ThemeLexus. Temp workaround -> rollback to 5.16.4 while waiting for a fix.

We wanted to let you know that with our latest release of?The Events Calendar version 6.0.2, we resolved the issue of 404s on new events that you were experiencing. Be sure to review our full?Release Notes?for more details.

Please note that in order for this fix to work, you may need to edit the events that were having problems by simply opening and resaving them. This will trigger the missing data to be created on the new tables, thus fixing the 404 on the frontend.

As always, we suggest?testing updates on a staging site?first, and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you may remove them after updating.

If you still have issues after updating to the latest release, please let us know.

Thank you, I tried modifying it from article name to numeric without luck. Then set it back to article name, still the same.
Also tried creating a new event on sept 1 but still 404

Hi @tumbano, I’m curious is this a recurring event? We do have a known issue with recurring events, and we recommend downgrading to v6.0.0 or v6.0.1.

No, it’s a one day event and I’m on 6.0.2

I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
2. Switching to the Default theme.
3. Downgrading and testing the previous version.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.
