• Free but requests credit card at installation!
I don’t care if it’s the plugin’s policy or whatnot. It could be the only popup plugin out there, I’d still uninstall it the moment it requested my credit card information. This is just not the way to do things! Either it’s free and it’s free, or it’s paid and that’s fine as well. This just doesn’t inspire the user’s confidence at all. Who knows what they’ll do with my credit card information or what kind of subscriptions I’m agreeing with? WordPress shouldn’t allow this plugin to be in the free plugin’s list. Thankfully there are other, equally good, popup plugins out there. Even paying! I rather give my money to more honest-sounding companies/plugin-builders.

    Hi @silvara

You’re 100% right. All our plans require a credit card to start; even the free plan and some features are only available on certain plan levels.

However, you can control when and if your card on file is used within your account settings.

You can read more about those settings here – https://optinmonster.com/docs/pageview-and-upgrade-preferences/. And you can always upgrade at any time to access the features you’d like.

We’re sorry OptinMonster didn’t work out for you and thank you for trying OptinMonster out. Good luck with your future endeavors!
