  • Language translations are supposed to be automated using WordPress’ language system, unfortunately, after the last update in which I removed the local language files in favor of WordPress language system, it appears to be having issues.

The language packages get installed when the plugin is activated, you might be missing those language files. Please try de-activating and re-activating the plugin to see if it installs the language files.

If that does not work, please provide the exact German language you selected from the language options.

    Hello Kyle,

unfortunately deactivating and reactivating doesn’t help.

My active language is set in wp-admin/options-general.php is “Deutsch” (de_DE).

    Hi,

same problem here. I also tried to switch the default language to other languages and reactivated the plugin. No files are downloaded and the captcha stays in english language. My default language is also German.

Hi, I will go ahead and revert the previous changes to the plugin and add the language files back into the plugin.
Hopefully that will resolve all of these issues.

    Hi,

unfortunately we have also this problem for Multisites. We have different languages, but the WP Backend has to be in english. So all Image Captcha’s are in english. Any solutions for that already?

    Thank you!

I apologize for the delay in the update release.
I will work on getting the update released this week.

    Hello,
I have re-added the language files, please update to version 3.3 and let me know if that resolved your issues.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
The problem is still not solved.
    Would you have a solution?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

im also searching for a solution. Loco Translate shows 100% german languages..

    Hello,
I’m sorry to hear its still not working for some, I will look into this further.
Its very strange that the translations are not working correctly as they have been set up according to WordPress documentation. I will do some more testing to see if I can find a solution.

    @ktc_88 ,

thanks, here you have an example:

Must be an Site-Bug, on another site i build today it worked normally ??

@dreilaut, on the site that it’s not working on, did you update the plugin?
I’m wondering if the site its not working on is confused about where to get the translations from since I removed the language library then added it back in again.
If you are familiar with the sites file system through cPanel of FTP, you could look in the languages folder \wp-content\languages\plugins and remove all of the contact-form-7-image-captcha files and see if that fixes it.

Same problem here. Can’t get it to work. Already tried all possible places to save the translation files – doesn’t help.

    Same problem here.
