[Plugin: Clean Archives Reloaded] Home Page Redirected to Archive After Uninstalling Plugin

    I installed the plugin and saw that it was not going to meet my needs so I uninstalled it. Now my home page is being redirected to the /blog-archive/ page I created to try out the plugin.

    I have deleted the new page, re-installed and re-uninstalled the plugin, and made sure the Settings>Reading info was unchanged. I was forced to re-create the /blog-archive/ page and copy what was my home page into this page just so visitors wouldn’t get a 404 page.

    Thoughts anyone? My website is www . MyAdoptionAdvisor . com.

    A little more digging and this seems to be connected with the Redirection plugin by John Godley. Deactivating this plugin eliminates the problem. Reactivating it brings the issue back. I need Redirection though so I still need to figure out what’s happening and how to correct it.

    Got it! This is a bug with Redirection and (I think) WP 3.0. When you create a new page Redirection seems to redirect your home page to the new page. You cannot see this from the admin side, but it is obvious when you look at the redirection files in the database. Deleting the records directly from the database resolves the issue.

    This issue has nothing to do with CAR.
