• After updating to 1.6.9 the popups have stopped working and the HTML code is now being displayed on the live page.

This is an example of what is displayed where the clickable image was previously displayed:

The website in question is using:

    Wordpress 5.8.5
    Jupiter 6.10.2
    WPBakery Page Builder 6.8.0

The site uses the siteground optimizer plugin and I have turned of all modification and combining of files.

I have checked the error log and we are not getting any warnings or errors.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi @devsc2768,

Do you have a link for us to check this?

Could you also try ruling out plugin conflicts?

Please deactivate any third-party plugins except Popup Maker and see if the issue persists.

If the issue gets fixed, activate your plugins one by one to see which of the plugins are causing the issue.

Let us know how it goes.

The older version patched a vulnerability:

Security: Patched XSS vulnerability allowing contributors to run unfiltered JavaScript.

    Hi everyone,

Apologize, but we still don’t have an update. As soon as we get one, we will inform you.

We have a list of older version. You can temporarily use the older version 1.16.7. You may download it from here

For a complete changelog, please see it here

We appreciate your patience with this matter.

Is the XSS vulnerability only present in v1.16.8 or is it present in 1.16.7 also?

Any updates on the patched updated version?

    Thanks

    Hi @devsc2768

    Hi everyone,

Good news! We will release the fix tomorrow.

Please check the WordPress updates section or plugin. Once it is available, kindly update the plugin to the latest version.

Please let us know how it goes, or if you have questions.

    Thank you!

Although v1.16.10 fixed the shortcode from displaying it now displays images twice:

    https://snipboard.io/MOsQxF.jpg

    https://snipboard.io/ulIyUp.jpg

    This is the shortcode:

    [popup_trigger id=”6593″ tag=”span”]Play Video[/popup_trigger]

There appears to be a bug in your code.
