Does it block Media Spam?

    Hi Overthere,
    thx for your great work over all the years. Love it! ??

    One question though: Every media-file in WP has it’s own page which includes the comments-function automatically and which to my knowledge isn’t disabled by the setting in the wp-backend under discussion. Does SB monitor these too?

    Yes, this is a standard comment form and therefore Antispam Bee should work there.

    Although the setting under discussion will work (but only for media uploaded in the future, because this does not change old media files).

    In most cases you should redirect these attachment pages to the media file, because they do not make any sense.

    And yeah I agree, they are actually useless. (And for the “why” of the setting working on new files only it’s a mystery only the core-team may answer I guess. Do you know by chance whether there’s already a ticket for this in the issue-tracker?)

    And what you mean by redirecting? Common 301? Or is there a setting in WP for that?

    Yes, there are many about this topic. I think this comment is a good summary of the overall problem and why it will be not solved:

    There are more tickets about media specifically, but I think they all are closed.

    And what you mean by redirecting? Common 301? Or is there a setting in WP for that?

    Unfortunately no setting in WP itself, but most SEO plugins have a setting for it (Yoast, AIOSEO, …).
