Mail Poet generating the same slowlog entry over and over

    Our hosting company has contacted us that we have php slow errors and processes issues. They are saying we need to increase our server space to accommodate the volume of slow log entries coming from mail poet.

    The Mailpoet plugin is generating the same slowlog entry over and over. More than 4,000 entries yesterday alone
    that seems odd in that we have not even posted a blog post since Aug 9 (over a month) …. and we have not had this issue in the past so it seems like something is wrong?

    This can be caused by the Task Scheduler.
    In those cases, as a first step, we recommend switching the Server Side Cron (Linux Cron) method to see if that resolves the issue. We have a guide for it here:

    We have been told the following by FlyWheel, our provider. This all seems odd to me. We aren’t sending any emails right now and haven’t sent any since July. What would you suggest?

    “With regards to the suggestion from Mail Poet, I don’t believe this will be suitable, due to the server-level cron jobs that are mentioned in that guide.
    Essentially FlyWheel locks down the WordPress core files which are required for this, so this option wouldn’t be relevant.”
