How to select the first number of a numbered list

With GeneratePress, what is the easiest, most user-friendly and quick way to have the number circled in red to be at 4 and the one circled in red to be at 5?

I tried this:
<ol start="4"><li>text</li></ol>

But when doing so, my block converts into this.

And I need flexibility this is a living list that I will keep enriching from time to time. So I want to be able to add my new item anywhere within the list while having the numbers update kind of automatically without me going through a cumbersome manual process.

What is the easiest way please?
