• Hi WP community, thought I would engage you for a very specific request I’ve received.

A friend wants to create a portfolio website for his photography. He has specified that he wants to have the images shown effectively as a absolute no frills slide show. So there is simply one image upon arriving at the relevant page, which clicking upon will give you the next one. Theoretically it would be nice if it cycled back around to the first once the end of the list was reached.

Weirdly, due to the simplicity of the request I’m having trouble finding an appropriate solution. In theory, I’d like to use some kind of plug in so that there was a user friendly back end for him to add new galleries in the future. Presently however, everything I’ve found seems to be geared more towards thumbnail grids and lightbox displays. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, all help is appreciated.

Update: OK basically what I kind of know I want to use is the jQuery cycle plug-in ( https://malsup.com/jquery/cycle/ ) however I would like to populate it with a list created by a more user friendly back end. It’s easy enough to make a bit of HTML with a UL in it for jQuery to cycle, but that’s not something I expect the average joe to be able to do on their own. Thoughts?
