text askew in IE 8

when viewing my blog in Internet Explorer 8 the text underneath the “welcome…” flag on the homepage is a bit askew. in that the word ‘together’ appears to be floating above the text to the right of the flag graphic
its fine when i view it in other browsers, including safari and firefox
can anyone help me how to fix please?
