Problem with Cover Image on Itune Podcast

    Hello,

    I think I’m having the same problem as a lot of people: the main image of the podcast refuses to appear on Apple Podcast.

    Have you noticed that wordpress scales images to a maximum of 2560 x 2560 even when uploading them at 3000 x 3000?

    Has anyone managed to fix the problem?

    Is it possible to edit the feed file manually?

    Hello @miawtwo!

    Usually, when you upload the media file, WordPress creates different kinds of image scales – thumbnail, medium, large, and also saves the original image. For feeds, we show original uploaded images.

    But maybe something goes wrong on your site. Could you please provide the feed URL? I’ll try to take a look at it.

    Just checked the feed, and it looks like it’s not WordPress or our plugin problem. For example, if you check the feed, it shows the original images, not scaled ones.

    Example – https://djnicolasnucci.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Podcast-1.jpeg –
    it looks like an original image, though it’s 640x640px.

    All the scaled by WP images look like this – imagename-SIZExSIZE.jpeg, for example – https://djnicolasnucci.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Podcast-1-150x150.jpeg

    It means that either you originally uploaded the image 640×640, or some third-party script changes the size when you upload it, or the server changes the size on the fly when you try to download it.

    So, please do the following:
    1. Make sure you upload images with the needed size.
    2. Try to disable all plugins except SSP.

    If it didn’t help, please ask your hosting support to check the problem on their side, and check what images are stored on the server – original ones, or scaled ones.

    Hello.

    I Tried everything.
    Disable all plugins except Elementor, upload new images, replace thumbs by original size by FTP.

    It’s always the word ‘Illustration’ il Apple Podcast Connect.

    Is it possible to edit manually the flux by SublimText or other to give another image url with full size ?

    It works ! Almost !

    I only have the last 10 recents episodes…

    Exclude podcast from default feed is unchecked

    Turbocharge podcast feed is unchecked too…

    Great, glad you managed to fix the image problem.

    Regarding the episodes per feed – it’s easy. You can change it here –

    Settings -> Reading -> Syndication feeds show the most recent
