Search engine

  • Hi everybody!!
    The search engine of Ultimate Member is it possible to configure, through the code of the plugin, to search other things apart from the Ultimate members fields of the profile, names and the issues realated to the plugin?

    I can explain it better… could it be possible to make the search engine to search more away from the plugin?

    Hello @sergio01

    You can change the search query with some filters but if you want to add search fields you will have to customize the plugin.

    I suggest you explore plugin codes to see if you can achieve what you are looking for.

    Ok, thanks Aswin. In my case its not excatly to add more search fields.

    The thing is that we have “configure” some profiles so that they can add (each user) extra information. But that extra information is not linked with the plugin.

    Its not about adding search fields to the search engine, but how to make the search engine work to search that information without adding an extra field. Like if you say to the search engine: hey, when I write “potatoes” you have to search on the information of the plugin and the extra information we (as developers) have add.

    Dont know if I explaining myself well.
