JSON error when posting

    I started a movie review site and while attempting to post about the movie X (2022), I received the following error:

    Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

    I thought something was wrong with my .htaccess file but finally, I figured out that the phrase “porn movie” was triggering the error. I changed it to “adult movie” and it posted just fine. No other word or phrase has ever triggered this error before. In fact, I’ve never seen it at all before.

    Is this a bit of censorship on WordPress’s part? I’m truly baffled.

  • I rather suspect that a firewall in the hosting you are using is responsible for this. Talk to the support of your hoster about it.

    Thanks. I will do that. That sounds more likely.
