    Just installed this Plugin and added the Smash Balloon app in my Facebook Group, but adding the shortcode to a WordPress page only show the Facebook Group image and tile, but no posts.

    Error: No posts available for this Facebook ID.

    The Solution links to a page with info about Errors, but I cannot find any Setting in Facebook for group restrictions.

    I’m stuck.

    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for contacting us! One thing to note with Group feeds is that due to limitations in Facebook’s API, you can only display posts that were created after you added the Smash Balloon app to your group. So if you’ve just added this, the feed won’t be able to display posts created before this, but new posts should be retrieved going forward.

    You may also need to go to WordPress Dashboard > Facebook Feed > Settings > Feeds and lower the update time in the Caching section.

    If there have been new posts in the group after adding the Smash Balloon app, but they are still not appearing after this, please send us a support request here and include the System Info from the Help page of the plugin settings and we’ll be happy to assist further.

    Yes, I added the Smash Balloon app to the Group, then did a test post in Facebook, it never shows up in WordPress.

    Yes, I changed the Cache time to 30 minutes, no joy.

    Yes, I bought the Pro version, no joy.

    Very disappointed.

    I’ve used the Twitter Feed Pro plugin on another site, so assumed that the Facebook Pro plugin would also work on this client site.

    Thanks for contacting us! I checked back on the support case of the original poster above, and in that case, there was a somewhat rare issue occurring with the Facebook API that was corrected by going to WordPress Dashboard > Facebook Feed > All Feeds > (click name or pencil icon to edit the feed) > Setting > Advanced, and setting the Timeline pagination method to API Paging.

    It’s possible making that same adjustment will resolve the issue for you, but if not, please send us a support request here, including the System Info from the Help page of the plugin settings, and we’ll be happy to investigate the issue further for you.

    @johnpaulbeaver , yes, all resolved, the tech support folks made it work.

    Hello,
    I installed the free version of your plugin for testing purposes. if it works properly, I was thinking of purchasing the pro version. however, the group feed is not displayed even though I installed it according to all instructions. I also installed the necessary facebook application to the group. it gives the message “No posts available for this Facebook ID”. whereas it works properly when I configure it for the page, not the group. I also applied the suggestion “WordPress Dashboard > Facebook Feed > All Feeds > (click name or pencil icon to edit the feed) > Setting > Advanced, and setting the Timeline pagination method to API Paging.” in the support forum. did not work. if you can help and make it work, I will switch to the pro version.

    Thanks for contacting us! Most commonly if you’ve just added the Smash Balloon app to your group, the problem would be related to the limitations of Facebook’s Groups API. You are only able to retrieve posts that were created after you added the app to your group. If you haven’t added any new posts since then, please try adding a test post, clear the plugin cache with WordPress Dashboard > Facebook Feed > Settings > Feeds > Clear All Caches to make it update right away, and then check if the new post appears.

    If you’ve already made new posts after adding the app to the group but they’re not appearing in your feed, please send us a support request here with the System Info from the Help page of the plugin settings and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
