Email reservation admin notification

Hi,
I would like to know if is a known issue the email advise that randomly I don’t receive (sometime for weeks) once a customer makes a reservation.
Is some setting that has to be seen in the server setting (I have it on a VPS), or else? To confirm the books I have always to enter in the admin page and check if is there some new reservation.
I’ve installed it in a restaurant website since many years, and I have a full regular license.
