    Hi,
I want to play stream audio with the player.
When I add the stream URL in the player it plays audio but it doesn’t show the cover and player buttons.
Please tell me if is there any way to load the cover when the player plays the audio stream.
    Thanks`

  • Hello Sadegh,

Thank you for reaching out to us! We apologize for the late reply.

You can simply add a splash image to the audio, just like you would with a video. Then it should look like this: https://foliovision.com/player/audio/audio-tracks-player#audio-splash with the splash screen being visible for the whole duration.

    Thanks for your reply.
I’ve added a splash image, but when I play it, the splash image will disappear and it shows the black screen.

    Hello Sadegh,

Could you please provide us with a test site so that we could investigate this issue hands-on?

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello Sadegh,

I see now. FV Player is primarily a video player and we don’t have many users using it with with audio streams.

While splash images work just great with .mp3, I tested your audio stream on a different website and can confirm that I run into the very same issue.

I’ll notify our development team about this issue.

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello Sadegh,

this issue occurs as FV Player did not detect your file as an audio stream. You URL does not use any known audio file extension. We support MP3 files and HLS streams. For HLS streams we detect if there is any video track and if there is none, we consider it an audio track.

You can do a little trick – try adding #.mp3 at the end of your URL. Potentially we could check MP4 files too and see if there is a video track or not.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Side note: @mr-seven Do not use short links in these forums, that has been abused in the past and is expanded when found. I have expanded yours into the link field.

That field cannot be seen by search engines.

I didn’t know that using short link is not permitted.
I will not use short links in future.
    Thanks

Does your browser support audios. You can check if your device support audio tag using online voice checking tools. Hope it works!
