CPU goes from 20% to 90% after update

  • Hello,
    I’ve been trying to update from 3.5.6 to the latest version, for over 5 months now, but after I’ve updated to any version (from 3.6 to 3.7.2) the CPU immediately goes from 20% to almost 90%. The traffic is exactly the same, and I’ve updated only the Elementor plugin, nothing else.

    After a few minutes or hours, I have to roll back to 3.5.6 and the CPU goes back down to normal again.

    I’ve done this many times with every update version when it became available, with the same result. All other plugins and themes are updated.
