Dozens of would-be customers report they cannot successfully check out, receiving this error:

“The Paypal payment gateway is not available.”

These customers are using PCs, Macs, smart phones, tablets, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc. They are in North America or Europe (no complaints so far from South America or the Pacific). There does not appear to be any commonalities among the complaints received.

The plugin does work successfully at least some of the time as I do receive paid orders, but of course the problem is the plugin is unpredictable and clearly has major problems.

It’s unclear how many sales I’ve lost due to the poor programming of this plugin, and it’s insane for WooCommerce to recommend it.

When do you intend to release a stable, FULLY functional version?

    Hello @tj214

We regret your trouble with setting up the plugin.

The integration works well for most users but we understand there are exceptions where this may not be consistently the case. In that case, the team is happy to assist in better understanding what could be causing the problems for you.

To better judge what could be causing this, we are interested in a copy of your WooCommerce system report and your latest PayPal Payments log files.

The system report can be accessed from here:
WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support

You can copy the log files from here:
WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments-[…]” in the dropdown and click on view.

And you can share it privately with us here:
    https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
If you send a private message, please include a link to this thread.

    Thanks.
    Femi.

I did not turn on PayPal Payments logging until yesterday (not included in installation instructions!) so will have to wait until more problems arise before I can sent relevant information to you. Will do once enough data has accumulated.

Since we haven’t heard back from you, I’m going to mark it as resolved.
In case you’re still having problems, feel free to open a new ticket!

NOT resolved. I still receive complaints from people who tried to order but received the error message above. I turned on logging more than a week ago, but NO LOGGING INFORMATION APPEARS in the log. WTF?

    Hello @tj214

you might want to open a ticket with us and share your system report with us (if you don’t want to share this on this public forum). You can do this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/

The issue you describe does not sound like a plugin issue, but it could be a plugin conflict. Without you sharing more details there is little we can do.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
