    Hi,
I am trying to set up a private group via BuddyPress. But I’m finding that the radio buttons for group privacy get disabled ONLY when I have the FotoMoto plugin enabled.

There’s a way to disable the plugin for the “groups” page but not for sub-pages — or, for that matter, for custom post types and the like.

Are there any other ways to selectively disable the plugin without installing another plugin like Plugin Organizer? Or do I need to do that if I need more control over where it loads its scripts?
    Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

Frankly I’d think it highly unlikely if not impossible that Fotomoto could have any effect on 3rd-party radio buttons. To confirm what’s happening I would need to be able to view the affected pages. On the link you provided (https://www.pnwbeyond.com/groups/create/step/group-settings/), I don’t see any radio buttons, Fotomoto or much of anything else when I view the source code.

I’d like to help you get to the finish line of your project as quickly as possible, and we might be able to do that most effectively over a Zoom chat or phone call. Otherwise if the page in question is access-controlled I would need access. Feel free to post that here in the public forum on www.remarpro.com if you’re comfortable, but I would think it best you contact us directly at [email protected]. I would like to be able to answer all of your questions at once, and probably save a lot of time.

To answer your question though, if you’re using our plugin you can prevent Fotomoto from loading on Pages and Categories in WordPress. That said, the plugin is only a convenience, and if full control is desired you can always load the Fotomoto Script manually where needed (see https://support.fotomoto.com/s/article/8745-how-do-i-install-fotomoto-on-generic-html-sites), and even have control over where/when the Buy Buttons appear if you use Fotomoto in API mode. This basically covers all intended use cases.

    I hope that helps,
    Derek

    Hi,
I primarily am using FotoMoto to integrate with FooBox with the buy links on specific lightboxes on specific pages.

When I removed the plugin and loaded the script onto the selected pages, the buy links didn’t appear in the lightbox as normal.

The page in question is a multi-step group creation page — likely it won’t be used much but I WAS trying to use it which is how I found that the radio buttons for privacy in step two were not working.

I went ahead and reenabled the FotoMoto plugin and set up plugin organizer to not load FotoMoto on the groups pages and only load on the photography post type and a few other select places. The buy links are again working in the lightbox, the radio buttons are again working (I’m not sure how FotoMoto was doing this, but it was) and this is an acceptable setup for me).

    Thanks.
