Hey all, new to WordPress ??
Hopefully, I’ll have a blog (actually an info site) up soon.

I searched for previous threads discussing this, and while there were many, I didn’t find a solution (dumb me lol). I’d really appreciate help ??

I created the DBs, users and configured them in wp-config.php It told me it couldn’t connect, and that some servers put username_ before the DBname, and I remembered mine did. Fine, I changed that.

Now, when I try to install (https://www.parimalsatyal.com/wp-admin/install.php), this is what I get:

Warning: main(/home/atlantis/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/atlantis/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 67

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/atlantis/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/atlantis/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 67

I’m installing this on the root dir of this domain, version 1.5 (just downloaded it yesterday) and I’m a MySQL uber-newbie.

    Thanks for your help ??

I was having this type of problem and when I got these type errors while running install, I went and reuploaded just the files mentioned in the error message, played around with some file permissions number and got past all those, however, I am still having problems LOL, I just posted a new question similar but somewhat different…..

    Right… I’ll do that (reupload wp-includes/functions.php and wp-settings.php.

After that, what kind of permissions should I grant for these files (through CHMOD, or should I use CPanel’s File Manager?).

    Thanks so much ??

    UPDATE:

It worked. Reuploading those files should do it, but I actually reuploaded the entire thing! – And created a new DB and a user for WP, of course. Thanks ??

    Hail WordPress ?? Thanks, again!
