Add New Theme option not there

    I want to add a new theme to WordPress but the Add New Themes option isnot there under Appearances. Do I need to upgrade to 3.0? How can I upload a new theme? Thanks.

    Yes, you need to be using at least 2.9. You might as well upgrade to 3.0. Make sure that you deactivate all plugins before triggering the automated upgrade.

    You can also upload themes by FileZilla===> faster and easier ??

    Thanks for the responses. I did upgrade to 3.0, but still the Add New Themes option is not there. I uploaded the theme that I wanted using FilZilla and it just appeared in the Themes option. I guess that’s how I’ll have to do it. But, I’m still wondering why that Add New Themes option isn’t there.
