Mingle: not all users can sign up

I’ve installed Mingle and tested it with another account. No problems. Now I have someone saying she’s tried everything to sign up but keeps getting the message that she’s not human. She’s tried two different and valid email addresses. What could the problem be? Is this a problem Mac users experience?
