    Hi,

Whenever we are putting in a term on the search box, it shows a dropdown of all the available results but the moment we click on ‘view all results’, it takes us to
404 error. This has never happened before, the search box has been working fine up until last weekend. I have already reindexed the table but it hasn’t helped in any way.

This covers the entire site and for all products : [ redundant link removed ]

Due to this increase in 404 errors, our site rankings are dipping and customers are increasingly frustrated.

    Kindly help

    Hi,

As I see something is wrong with you theme template for the products search results.

AWS plugin doesn’t create its own search results page layout. Plugin just adds its search results to the existing layout of your theme.

Please visit this page – https://www.patrabharati.com/?s=ca&post_type=product
This page must display standard search results ( note that it doesn’t have &type_aws=true inside URL ). Not AWS plugin search results. But we still see error here.

So I think the problem here is in your theme search results template for WooCommerce products.
Maybe you can ask the theme author about this issue? Usually template for products search results must be specified inside the archive-product.php file of your theme.

    Hi,

Thanks for your revert ! So there’s a difference in our search results. When you typed in’ ca’ in the box, you were led to a page containing all products that have ‘ca’ in the product titles. When I type in ‘ca’ and hit enter, I am being led to a 404 error. I am looking for your version of search results , the page with ‘ca’ products that you got.

I could have explained this better with a screenshot :
    /?s=ca&post_type=product&type_aws=true

So, as I mentioned previously, something is wrong with your theme template for product search results and this problem is not related to search plugin.

So the page https://www.patrabharati.com/?s=ca&post_type=product must show default WooCommerce search results – it is basic functionality. But for some reason it’s not working. That is a problem and needs to be fixed somehow.

    Regards
