I noticed recently that Updarft stopped automatically backing up my website. when I try to manually backup my site it will work to a certain point then stalls. It seems to have stopped working properly at the end of July. It is backed up to One drive. I have ample disc space left.

    Hi,

Do you see any error message in the UpdraftPlus “Backup / Restore” tab?

Please could you send us a copy of the backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

When I spoke to GoDaddy Support yesterday – since I am having the same problem – the support person said that GoDaddy has discontinued allowing UpdraftPlus and an email was sent oput though we never recieved it. He said it was tying up their servers. I do not have the same problem on other hosts. I really like UpdraftPlus.

    Hi,

Yes, they have listed our plugin as one of the disallowed plugins. We have already reached out to them to resolve this and we hope they will reconsider.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    I sure hope so too

Thanks for the reply. I have this notice:

WordPress has a number (101) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working.

I started an update on Monday 8/15 and it is stating next resumption after -337195s
Here’s the log from the download I started on 8/15:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RHTsqQgQvQ8wujDVf-wMk9mz0VtzPL1C/view?usp=sharing

I’m also going to reach out to my hosting provider to ask about the missed scheduled tasks.

    Hi,

WordPress has a number (101) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working.

It appears that there is an issue with the WordPress scheduler. WordPress is not able to call the WP-Cron system to process the scheduled tasks.

Could you try adding the following line of code to your wp-config.php file (above the ‘stop editing’ line):
    define( ‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true );

This will enable the alternative WordPress Cron system. This is designed to allow scheduled tasks to be processed when the main WP Cron is not able to run.

Could you then attempt a new backup?

    Regards,
    Bryle

I’ll try it and update it if it works.
    Update:
well, it works to a point before stalling again. I still also see that WordPress has a number (52) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. notice.

I had cleared my site’s cache and browser cache before restarting the update.

The last time I contacted Bluehost they stated the message was associated with the updraft plugin and they couldn’t help me any further.

    Hi,

Can you please share a copy of the log again? So I can check if there are any changes from the last backup.

    Thanks,

I even tried to roll the plugin back and reinstall it and I still had the same issue. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe there is a plugin conflict.

It seems to be working now I did have some errors but it seems to be related to another plugin.
This is the current error message:
Oops… Your server is blocking the access to Freemius’ API, which is crucial for Spotlight – Social Media Feeds synchronization. Please contact your host to whitelist api.freemius.com, wp.freemius.com
Error received from the server:(object) array( ‘code’ => ‘6’, ‘message’ => ‘ Could not resolve host: api.freemius.com’, ‘type’ => ‘CurlException’, )
