    Hi All,

Yesterday I got a message from Google Search Console stating my site had been crawled and I had a critical issues:

    Extract:

Sitelinks searchbox structured data issues detected on https://www.empoweringproduct.com/

    Top critical issues

Critical issues prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following critical issues were found on your site:

Target URL domain is outside the website URL domain (in "potentialAction.target")

If I look into the inspection in Google Search Console it states that I have a URL domain outside the website URL domain, but it is highlighting a link inside the domain, so I am a bit confused.

I uploaded a screenshot of the message here: https://tinypic.host/i/uMPyY

    Anyone got some good advice?

  • Hey @jespersw,

Thank you for using Yoast SEO and reaching out!

We understand Google Search Console warned you about an issue. Let’s dive in.

Looking at the Rich Result Test – we see a lot of URLs pointing at “https://usercontent.one/wp/www.empoweringproduct.com/” instead of your own domain “https://www.empoweringproduct.com/”.

I recommend checking with your web host/site developer to make sure that everything is set up with your own domain – which in turn will then resolve this warning.

    Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for the answer! I ended up reaching out to my website host as per your advice. They managed to fix it.

    For others reading this thread.

You can try a very simple solution of simply:

1/ Access the site in wordpress with the error
2/ Amend parent page to a “random page” and update
3/ Amend back to the original “parent page” and update again
4/ Live test the page in google search console and it may be fixed
    5/ If fixed, then re-crawl

    It worked for me.
