Our website (RicharHuisa-Artist.com) was working last night – I stopped editing at about 11 pm, an hour before the nightly backup at the Hostinger web hosting service. Our website was inaccessible this morning – a white page with more than a minute wait, then a server error. I restored the “Files” (but not the “Database”) at my hosting service, and the site came back up, and worked perfectly for a while, then became inaccessible again. An email message told me that the WordPress “WooCommerce Amazon Pay plugin had been automatically updated from version 2.2.2 to 2.2.3.” That was apparently breaking our WordPress website. I was able to deactivate the plugin before it shut down the site again, and now our website is up and staying up.

I am here at the Amazon-Pay WordPress plugin forum to notify you of the problem, which may be either a stand-alone problem, or an interaction with another plugin. I have deactivated, and will delete the Amazon-Pay plugin, and not reinstall and activate it again until it is safe to do so. Our online store is new, and with only test orders so far, so the lack of Amazon pay will not affect us at this time.

    Hey @david-van-harn

We already found the issue and we are in process of fixing it. This should only affect the new sites and new installs. So if you first install 2.2.2 and do the onboarding. Then you can update to 2.2.3 without a problem.

I will let you know when the fix it’s released.

    Best,
    Christian
