VAT missing for gateway fees

Taxes for gateway fees have been added in the latest update 7.3.0. In previous plugin versions, the gateway fees were handled without tax and I’m not aware there has ever been a setting, as this was just recently added.

Orders that are eligible for taxes will have the standard tax rate applied to the gateway fee:

So except for the standard tax rate and the fee, there is nothing else that needs to be configured.

Would it be a possiblity to define the gateway fees INC tax?
If you are looking for round numbers (like 1 euro) it can be difficult when you have a 19 or 21% tax rate for example.

@sanderrrrr Right now, you could only yourself set the appropriate fee value without taxes as the plugin isn’t performing the calculation. It only adds the standard tax to the value if the order is eligible for taxes.
But we’re looking into potentially extending the fee settings, e.g. with different taxation options to be more flexible.

This behavior will be slightly tweaked for the next update. In the next version 7.3.1, the gateway fee will be including tax.
So when you set a 5€ fixed fee for a gateway and taxes are applied, the customer will still have a 5€ surcharge.
But there won’t be too many additional fee-related settings for the time being.

I have an additional issue since version 7.3.

I have the following set up:

Product: €10
Shipping: €5
Gateway fee: €1 + 2.99% (fixed and percentage)

I am expecting here a surcharge of 15 * 2.99% + 1 = €1.45. Instead it does this 15 + 1 * 2.99% = 1.48. So it takes also a 2.99% on the fixed fee of €1. This should not happen. This was not before the case, so something changed with formulas within the development.
