Hi @artemlatenkov07,
If you’re site is using WPML or another language plugin that can change your site URLs regularly, to include a language path, then it’s not uncommon for Site Kit to recognize this URL change for logged in administrators. What you can do to resolve this, is use the canonical URL filter (googlesitekit_canonical_home_url
), to define a single URL which Site Kit will remain connected to.
In order to do so, please follow the steps below:
- Visit this link, which hosts the mini plugin for this canonical filter
- Click on the “Download Zip” button on the top right of that page
- From your WordPress administrator dashboard navigate to “Plugins > Add New” and then click on the “Upload plugin” button
- Select the zip file from above, which you just downloaded.
- Install and activate this plugin
- Depending on the current Site Kit connected URL you may be asked to re-connect once more. After doing so you Site Kit will remain connected to the site URL which is defined within our WordPress general settings, without be asked to reconnect when Site Kit determined that you’re logged into your wp-admin panel with another URL, with includes a language path from your WPML plugin.
Let me know how you get on with the above, or inform me if you need assistance on this. Looking forward to your response.
