• I definitely do not want to auto update because I’ve had issues in the past. So I was planning to download to my desktop and then update the index.php and this is the question I have…? What other files do I have to update? I remember there are two aren’t there that are the most essential to an upgrade?

Besides the index.php file what other file(s) will I have to upgrade?

    Thanks for input!

  • What exactly are you updating? WordPress? Or your theme?

I wanted to update to WP3 but not do the auto update. Merely replace certain files…I’ve read this can be done..that alrdy exist from previous version.
Although, from my research I wonder if the theme I am using is going to work with WP3??
I may have to end up changes themes. Not too happy about that prospect.

You can’t do a partial upgrade.
