I have integrated a Stripe account with Woo-commerce for payment capture. When any user completes their order I received an amount on my stripe account and here by default capture_method is set to manual capture_method: ‘manual’, I want to change it to automatic. I discuss this with the stripe support they said I need to talk with Woo-commerce. stripe support response = “Looking into this, since your account’s integration is currently connected to WooCommerce, you can reach out to them to let them know that you’ve manually captured the payment through the dashboard and that they can automatically capture approved payments via API.”

Please help me with this. How can I Change the capture_method on Stripe capture_method: ‘manual’ to capture_method: ‘automatic’

Hi @sofineer,

It seems that you have enabled the option “Issue an authorization on checkout, and capture later” under the Stripe setting here: https://d.pr/i/2LA1md

When this setting is enabled, you’ll need to capture funds manually for each order within 7 days. You can read more about it here in the documentation.

Please disable that option if you want to take the payments automatically when the customer places an order on your site.

Just wanted to highlight that this question is not related to the WooCommerce Core plugin but WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway.

So, in the future, please open a support thread there if the questions are related to Stripe Payments.

Thanks for your response.

That setting is already disabled from my side. But I have enabled the test mode of the stripe. Is there anything issue with that?
I order with the test mode and I received by captured_method: “manual” on stripe.
