I really like the snippet library and would love to see that feature expanded. Have you considered adding a cloud library for users? We maintain our own library of code snippets in Cacher. If it was possible to move those snippets into a cloud for this plugin and have them accessible from any of the sites we manage, that would be great!

  • Import code snippet or snippets from GitHub/Bitbucket repo would be handy.

These are all great ideas – I’m adding this to our feature list.

We do have plans for Cloud Snippets, so that should be coming in the coming months.

    Great to hear!

+1 : I am just looking at this plugin for the first time. While a competent WP developer, I’m not finding enough examples to get a quick handle on how to use snippets in various situations. A “crowdsourced” cloud library would help a lot to see how others are solving problems. More than a resource for people like me, this would be most helpful for non-developers, where the plugin-supplied library is helpful but quite limited.

I can envision a site based on this, not just a repo, where each snippet is a Post (CPT), people comment and rate snippets, contributors can update their contributions, there is a revision history, etc.
