    Dear Friends
All pages shall be displaid by calling the relevant category in the Sidebar.

However, some information like the impressum, the disclaimer and the possibility to return to the Homepage from any other page shall be called from a line of commands below the header to keep these information separate from the blog contents.

When I want to return from a page to the Homepage named “Welcome”, using the button “Home” in the top, the page is displayed, however, without showing the sidebar.
My call is: href = “/2010/07/welcome”.

I should be grateful for a tip solving the problem.

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Knut

  • Do you have a link to your site you can share?

What theme are you using? It looks like you are linking to the actual post that is the static homepage? Some themes have different layouts for single posts, as opposed to the actual homepage.

Try linking to just your base domain (https://yoursite.com).

    Thanks for your prompt supply,
    Your proposal works fine!

    However a new question arises:
The impressum, disclaimer etc. are static sites and therefore they appear in the side bar under a special heading “Sites”

Since I moved the calling in the line under the header, these buttons are no more required in the side bar. How can this part of the side bar be set invisible or deleted?

    Answers to your questions:
    I am using
    WP 2.9.2
    Theme: Default (Kubrick)

Thanks in advance for your proposal

    Dear Friends,
When reading the handbook I missed the pages on widgets.
I continued to try to find a solution by myself, however, being new to WP still have difficulties in understanding the text.
The relevant paragraphs were now found. The problem is over.
    Thanks a lot!

    regards

    Knut
