When I updated to the latest version 2.0, I couldn’t choose the optimized mode, it was always running in the smart mode, but I didn’t like the pictures after the smart mode optimization.

    Hi @yunosp

Sorry to hear images were not good after the optimization. Is there any chance to send some of them to us? We would like to test them out and see what went wrong.

Right now, there is no option to reoptimize in Lossless as bulk action, you would have to do it one by one in Media Library ??

Can you tell me if you have a lot of images in the Media Library?

    Best Regards

Hi Marko. I’m going back to version 1.10 now because 2.0 forces smart mode, but I just want normal mode. I’ve had too many users report to me that after updating the plugin, the quality of their uploaded images is poor, and the original normal mode was fine. I have about 10,000 images in my media library, and if I force smart mode, I need to go to the media library and select them one by one, which will cause me a lot of inconvenience. I’d like to be able to add a feature, like in version 1.10, to be able to choose between smart and normal modes.`

    Hey @yunosp

Right now there is no option to reoptimize them in the Bulk. However, we might consider that in the future as well.

Also, we are happy to investigate this and see why images lost their quality, as we want to improve the process and make it possible to optimize images in Smart without losing the quality.

Let me know if it is possible to send me some of these images?`

We’re not asking you to remove smart mode, we’re giving us a choice between lossless and smart mode. I might consider other plugins later this year.

    Hey all!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

We are trying to collect as many problematic images as possible which would help us improve the process.

At the same time, we are listening to your feedback and we will definitely consider re-introducing the Bulk option for Lossless re-compression.

Our developers are on this and we will post the update as soon as possible.

Until they don’t add the toggle mode feature, I think we can use version 1.10, it’s powerful.

    Hi @yunosp

?Sorry to hear about the issue!

Can you tell me what compression level you used in the previous (v1.10) version?

The thing is, we have changed the compression level to Smart for all Aggressive and Ultra compression levels to test things, and there were no negative feedbacks for weeks.

Is there any chance to send us some of the problematic images so we could test them further and fix the problem?

    Thanks!

I am using Normal mode in version 1.10. I will share a picture with you later.

    Hey @yunosp

    Thanks a lot!

You can also try to optimize these images in Aggressive or Ultra compression mode, the issue should be the same.

As I mentioned, as soon as we see the image, we will basically know what is the problem and we will do our best to improve the process.

Long term speaking, this is going to be the easiest and most efficient way of image optimization. Of course, some patience is needed in the beginning and we are very thankful for that.

I use normal mode just to make sure the image is compressed and not pixelated. What I’m not happy about is that you removed this in your latest version, forcing us to use the smart mode.

    Hi everyone!

Just updating this thread in order to inform you that we will re-introduce a lossless option in Imagify (v2.1).
I am not able to provide an ETA at the moment but I can confirm it will be re-introduced.

    Thank you!

    Best Regards
