• I have two site using HMWP and both are having login issues from the plugin. I don’t mean to be snarky but ‘don’t think,” I didn’t deactivate all my 45 plugin that could be deactivated, 3 plugins I can’t deactivate because doing so would crash my site, those are MH plugins and I changed the theme to see if there is a compatibilty issue, I only have one security plugin and it’s HMWP. I did that and it is HMWP that is preventing access to my own website. I have added my IP to whitelist and still getting blocked out. My IP addressed show up as in trying to brute force my own website, of course I’m gonna attempt multiple time, when I dang know my freakin’ password. They only way I was able to get back in was to disable the plugin by renaming the folder cause disable all my plugins is just gonna crash my site and that is gonna infuriate me. I paid for this plugin and if it is preventing me from access my own website well I wasted a lot of money on a plugin that is preventing me from accessing my own website. Guess I’ll be looking for a different plugin unless you have a good idea why this pluigin is causing problems. Also when I re-activated and deactivate, somehow my website gets messed up in the process of messing around with deactivating and reactivating plugins and I have to delete the htaccess file in order to get my website back. So reactivating the plugin is just a big pain and I will not reactivate if I have to continue to do that.

    Hi @shygirl51,

It should be alright with version 6.0.23 because there are situations when the theme does not add reCaptcha in the login and HMWP Ghost is waiting to receive recaptcha and we added this exception in the last version.

    I don’t have reCaptcha set, so I don’t think that’s the problem.

    Hey Joey,

There were some updates on the last version regarding the Brute Force feature and the theme login page integration.

One more detail, if you use a cache plugin, add the custom login path into the cache exception list.

    Best, John
