add custom content to single post page

Hello,

Your theme is fast and I do not want to enable Elementor, as it will make it slower.
But I find it impossible to find a way to add some custom content below the main post content, on a single post (example single.php).
What template file should I use in order to do that? Yes, I want to add it in the code, I use a child theme.
I tried modifying ‘post_layout.php’, but even if I add anything below the_content();
, it will not show.
On layout_single_post.php it’s the same.
Any code that would work on functions.php is also much appreciated.
