    Hello dear support team!

I use Wordfence on several WordPrerss sites, on one I now have the following problem:

I and other registered users (some of them also admins) are blocked from logging in ( without any reason, it seems). The reason: There were too many attempts to log in.

With me it is so that I do for example on one day something on the page, close the window, at the end of the day the browser and the next day again open the page. I then have to log in again, so as known. Except that I then get the message that I can’t log in, for the reason mentioned above.
I saved the password, so there were no incorrect entries. So it must have some other reason.

I also only have problems with it on this WordPress site.
Is there an all inclusive setting I can do?
Allowing the IP address of all users seems very complicated to me, especially since there are quite a few since the site also uses WooCommerce.

I’m not sure exactly what information you guys need to help me. So I’m looking forward to your reply!

    Monique

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There could be a possibility that your rate limiting or brute force protection settings are a little too harsh.

Would it be possible to re-enable Wordfence and take a screenshot of these settings?

    Please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Joshua

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to me with those!

Can you check Live Traffic to see if all the IPs are the same or if all login/logouts/lockouts are the same?

If so can you go to Wordfence > Dashboard > Global Options in the General Wordfence Options section where it says How does Wordfence get IPs and then adjust accordingly.

Please let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Britney

    Hey Britney,

    sorry for my late answer!

I’m not sure, where to find this informations you asked for.

    I’d found this settings:

    Is that right?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to me!

The first picture is the correct setting, however, can you head over to your Live Traffic section in Wordfence (not in the settings menu) to see if all the blocked IPs are the same?

    Please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Joshua
