Woocommerce new user not auto logging in after checkout.

Thanks for reaching out.

I was unable to replicate what you describe – once the customer creates an account during checkout and places an order, the customer is successfully created in WP Dashboard > Users and remains logged into the site.

Does it work if you disable all plugins except WooCommerce and enable a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Two? Can you also try using a different browser and/or navigating in private mode?

If it doesn’t help, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Can you also share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > Status > Logs (if available)?

To address the fatal error, can you please remove that filter from functions.phpand check if the user is auto-logged in after checkout as expected?

If the user is still not auto-logged in, please disable all the plugins except WooCommerce and switch to Storefront Theme and check.
