• When I first load the page on our website, the formatting is not correct and the developer tool in Chrome displays 24 errors. The errors that show up are as follows:

Uncaught ReferenceError: wp is not defined at ()

Uncaught ReferenceError: JQuery is not defined at ()

When I refresh the page once or twice, the site works fine. I’m not an advanced developer by any means, but could you help so the page loads properly every time someone opens the page. The errors and issues only show up sometimes.

  • Some plugin sets a feature in the source code that the JavaScript files should be loaded asynchronously. This makes them read rather randomly in the right or even wrong order.

My guess would be Jetpack as the cause. Maybe you deactivate it first and test whether it runs better then.

There are many reasons a site might not load, such as misconfiguration, corrupt files, problems with a database, or something as simple as needing to clear your browser’s cache and cookies on your compute

@threadi If I deactivate Jetpack, will I need to replace it with another plugin? I just deactivated it, and the site seems to be loading properly.

@masonhahne Listen less plugin less problem, some plugin will damage all code even after deactivate codes not working correctly, do you have backup for your website?

@kaylalee3 Yes. We have the UpdraftPlus plugin.

Try backup and deactivate all plugins and try active one by one and see which one more impact your website
