woocommerce-checkout-payment – Direct Deposit option missing

    Hi from Australia,

    I have configured the WooCommerce Direct Bank Transfer option [WooCommerce –> Settings –> Payments All payment methods –> Direct bank transfer] but Direct Deposit doesn’t appear on my checkout page – only Credit Cards & PayPal are offered at checkout.

    My website is for Australian users ONLY so in the bank details I have entered the following fields:
    Account name My account name
    Account number My account number
    Bank name My bank’s name
    BSB My bank’s bsb
    IBAN (empty as IBAN is not used in Australia)
    BIC / Swift (empty as BIC/SWIFT is not used for local Australian transfers)

    Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix this please so my clients can select Direct Deposit?

    I understand that your WooCommerce Direct Deposit option is missing at the checkout.

    Though you have already set up the payment, you would need to enable it. See the screenshot below:

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    It appears you are selling subscription products, and also have WooCommerce Payments and a PayPal plugin enabled.     I have tested using a “Listing Package” & that brings up the Direct Debit option but if I select a “Listing Subscription” there is no Direct Debit option at Checkout.

    I am wondering if this is a MyListing Theme issue?

    You could run a conflict test on your staging site to see if any of your theme(s) or active plugins are causing this issue.

    (a) Issue regarding Direct bank transfer

    You mentioned:

    I have tested using a “Listing Package” & that brings up the Direct Debit option but if I select a “Listing Subscription” there is no Direct Debit option at Checkout.

    If the Listing Package was created as a simple product, and Listing Subscription is a subscription product, then I understand the issue here. When you have a subscription product in your cart and your subscription settings do not allow manual renewals, some payment options will not show.

    The payment methods that will show when you have disabled manual renewals are the ones discussed here.

    If you’d like WooCommerce to show all the available payment methods on your checkout page when customers are purchasing subscriptions, you will want to enable that option in the Subscriptions settings.

    (b) About the above errors

    The errors you’ve shared show two conflicts: something is conflicting with both WooCommerce and WooCommerce Payments and might affect their functioning. However, these errors seem to be sporadic and on different days. Incase they come up again, you could check if your functionalities have been affected, and if yes, perform a conflict test.

    Many thanks for your detailed response – I now understand why the Direct Deposit is missing.

    I will run a conflict test if I get more fatal errors.
