bad exprience with auto installing plugin

When using installicious scripts to setup a new WordPress site on cPanel, you have to untick a box for this plugin to not be added to WordPress. In the beginning I was constantly having this plugin being added, and then forgetting the password and being locked out.

I understand this is supposed to stop brute force attacks, but I’m not sure if this is really more secure than just using Wordfence. I’ve also had some really frustrating experience with this plugin.
