Residual Account requirements after turning off Account creation in WooCommerce

We have had account creation turned on in WooCommerce for a few years. We decided to turn off account creation and eliminate it altogether when purchasing through the website. I turned off all of the account creation items, only leaving the check to allow guests to checkout without an account. I also cleared all the account-related pages in the redirect area. I feel we have cleared everything possible for account creation. However, WooCommerce still knows there are active accounts so when someone tries to place an order and they are still logged in, the system will not take their order – it throws an error: “Please enter an address to continue.” No matter what address is entered or changed, the error will not clear unless the customer logs out.
WooCommerce won’t let me delete emails from customers and I don’t see a way to mass-delete existing customers.
Any suggestions for resolving this?

Thank you so much – the first article was the key! I should have done a search by the error message itself. I thought it was related to us turning off account creation. This fixed it:
This error occurs when the country field is disabled/removed in either billing or shipping section in the plugin settings. Please note that when you provide validation for the state field or zip code field in any section, it is mandatory to have an active country field.
This is resolved.
