Recent Posts: more than 15 on WP3

  • On certain of my blogs, I show a long list of recent posts in the sidebar. For this, it’s always been easy to go into the code and hack out the “max: 15.” It’s surely still easy, but it’s moved. Can someone tell me how to remove/increase the maximum number of recent posts shown in WP3.0?

    Anyone want to make this into a plugin so those of us who want this feature don’t have to relearn and rehack with every major upgrade or theme change? Is there already a plugin that does this? I saw all kinds of plugins that did recent posts, but all of them had a max that was pretty close to 15…

  • Why can’t you use the recent posts widget, you can alter the amount you show in there.

    Found answer in another thread here, “Increase number of posts displayed.” (Is there a way to add a ink within a post here to other threads?)

    The code is in wp-includes/default-widgets.php, lines 542-3 in my setup. I just did a search for the number 15 to find it.
