FFMPEG question

  • Hello,
    Can someone advise me how to get FFMPEG working on my ftp server on which the wordpress website is running? I need to get FFMPEG working for Videopack (formerly Video Embed & Thumbnail Generator). Thanks in advance for your willingness.

    You’ll need to have a web server running, not an FTP server. And you usually need to have command line access to your server and usually a VPS or private server, not the shared hosting that most people have.

    Unfortunately there are so many different configurations of servers that I have a hard time providing support for FFMPEG installation. Your server’s OS might have an easy way to install via a package manager or you might have to compile it from source code. Start by Googling something like “install ffmpeg on [name of your server OS]”
