Error: you can’t publish content until you add a payment account

  • I am trying to publish a new blog post and I am getting the error: you can’t publish content until you add a payment account. I have tried to find any place to even add payment information and I can’t. If anyone can help me resolve this issue I would appreciate it. I am supposed to publish this sponsored blog post today.

    Yes the site is lostinlaurelland.com
    It is my own wordpress website through siteground hosting

    WordPress is 100% free and doesn’t require any payment to publish. So I’m at a loss where this request for “payment account” message is coming from.

    OK, it seems you’re using some 3rd-party advertising network or service to publish sponsored block posts on your own website.

    What website/tool/service do you use to run this “sponsored blog post”? It’s likely this “thing” (whatever it is) that’s asking you to put in your payment details so they can pay you when you publish the sponsored post on your blog.

    Hmm, no I have never used any third-party advertising. Just using the wordpress block builder. I do have a free Elementor theme/account if that makes a difference. Payment for my sponsored posts is always done separately.

    And the plot thickens ??

    Ok, so let’s perform the dance then.

    You need to disable ALL your plugins, and test. If the problem goes away, enable your plugins one after the other, testing each time, until you find the one that brings back the problem.
