Hello! I use Top10 from 2016, and wp_top_ten_daily very big – 32.3 МБ. It consist 523964 rows. I do not use Top10 in front my site, only admin panel to see count on each post and page. After installing plugins for generating amp pages and Yandex turbo, Top10 statistics became less useful, but still very informative. I know how to use phpmyadmin and could clear the table of obsolete entries. How will this affect the work of the plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You can set the maintenance mode on in the settings page. This will only retain about 180 days of data in this table.

Note that given how large the db is, it might take sometime to run when you first activate or even cause a timeout.

Please let me know if that happens and I’ll try to find a mySQL command.

Thanks, my table has shrunk to just 9mb and only 159,565 rows. Everything went well without any problems. However, I found that my wp_postmeta table contains two views per post with the same value. How and when it happened, I did not notice. Maybe it makes sense to remove the repetitions?

What are the names of the keys into wp_postmeta?

My plugin’s views are not saved in there – not sure if it is another plugin or some code that replicates it into postmeta table.

If you keep maintenance on, then it will run a cron job to repeatedly clean up the daily tables.
