Rogue character "|" appears in blog title

    The “|” symbol (the one above forward slash) mysteriously appears in the blog title when it shows in the browser. Theme: “Under The Influence” 1.03. Using this on two different blogs and the | symbol shows on both. E.g. https://www.swamisriatmananda.com
    Any suggestions how to remove this are most appreciated.

  • On the homepage your title looks like

    Site Name | Tagline

    on your other pages it is

    Post Name | Site name

    So you can either add a tagline so it doesnt look weird or install a plugin like “all in one seo” and you can customize it anyway you want.

    you could edit header.php of your theme and look for a line starting with <title>

    you might be able to find this | character there and change it;

    if you have difficulties, you could post the code of this line ( everything from <title> to </title> ) here, and someone might be able to give you some suggestions what to change.
