Great Theme But, Mobile Menu Doesn’t Work Well

This is a great-looking theme and has a lot going for it but during testing of this as a single-page website, I noticed that the mobile menu does not function correctly.

The main thing about single-page sites is easy navigation. Menu anchors allow the end-user to move smoothly to each section of the page via the menu. With the Cakes & Bakes theme, it works fine on the desktop but when you view it on mobile the menu just doesn’t function at all.

I checked this with the theme authors, who were very quick to respond so top marks for that. At first, they said I needed to pay for the premium theme in order to get the mobile menu working and they sent me a link to their demo site so I could check it out for myself. Only the mobile menu on their demo “one-page” site does not move you smoothly up and down the page. It simply jumps to other pages of the site. Wasn’t this supposed to be a “one-page” demo?

The authors have since confirmed that the mobile menu does not in fact work with the same page anchors and therefore I should choose a different theme.

This is such a shame. Everything else about the theme is fine and I would have happily paid for it if the mobile menu issue had been resolved.

There are plenty of other themes out there that have single-page options and the menus do work, including my own site. So I would imagine the developers of this theme could also implement such a thing?
